1. Pressure lead

✓ Why: prevent the bait from being in half water, with the line sliding through the sinker hole.

✓ If the bait is suspended and the fish are hunting close to the bottom, productivity will be compromised;

✓ The pressure lead must be attached to the hook tie and not to the line, so as not to weaken it;

2. Shield to prevent the lure from moving along the line

✓ Why: Minimize line breakage by piranha bites or others with sharp teeth.

✓ Cut a steel wire of approximately 5 cm;

✓ Bend the wire forming a small loop, without trimming the ends;

✓ Pass it through one end of the spinner. The idea is to create a ledge that prevents the bait from overtaking the tie.

3. Lure cannon

✓ Why: attract and concentrate fish such as piaus and pacus.

✓ Use a PVC pipe of 100 mm in diameter and approximately 50 cm in length;

✓ Make small holes of 3 cm in its contour;

✓ Fill the cannon with the desired bait. Sour corn, kirela and ration are the most common baits;

✓ Use a weight compatible with the strength of the water, and tie the tube to a thin and resistant cable;

✓ The current causes the bait to be released gradually, attracting the fish.

4. Shock absorber for sinker

✓ For what: to avoid damage to the line, caused by bumps between the sinker and the steel tie knot.

✓ The shield can be a small rubber stop or a bead;

✓ The rubber damper is positioned by the pressure on the line;

✓ The position of the bead can be limited by a single knot, made by an auxiliary thread that slides over the main one;

✓ Both can also be used to change or limit the distance between the bait and the lead.

5. Hook sharpener

✓ For what: to guarantee the penetration of the hook in the bony mouth of some fish.

✓ There are specific sharpeners for hooks, if not, use thin metallic files;

✓ Remember that tangles and stones wear out the tip of the hook, repeat the operation from time to time.
